Polar’s Grit X2 Pro Watch is made for serious athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It houses a dual-frequency GPS, topographic maps, and an AMOLED touchscreen protected by sapphire crystal glass. It also boasts military-grade durability and an impressively long battery life, which means it can handle punishing conditions without batting an eyelid.
When Polar handed us this rugged yet stylish watch, we knew the promotional video had to go beyond an ordinary tech rundown. The concept needed to capture the Grit X2 Pro’s unshakeable exterior and cutting-edge functionality in a way that genuinely resonated with viewers. We aimed to create something that spoke to dedicated runners, hikers, and sports lovers by showing both the watch’s practical strengths and its sleek look.
The Process
First, we mapped out a thorough storyboard. Our team at FOR® dug into market data and trends, exploring how best to bring the watch’s identity to life. Each animated scene had its own carefully designed backdrop, setting a consistent tone throughout the entire piece.
Once the direction felt right, we kicked off the CGI animation process. We experimented with different software tools, aiming for a polished final product at every step. Illustrations were transformed into 3D models, which then went through multiple lighting tests. Finally, we wove everything together in a rendering phase that showcased the Grit X2 Pro’s highlights—durability, precision, and striking aesthetic. Each frame went under the microscope to ensure the overall story felt smooth and engaging.
The Result
We don’t pop the champagne until our partner is fully satisfied. In this case, Polar gave us glowing feedback. We pushed our creative limits to ensure the final video would stand out, and we’re delighted with the outcome.
