Behind the Polar Vantage M3 Watch Film

Polar’s Vantage M3 caters to everyone from pro triathletes to weekend hikers. This compact yet powerful device merges the rugged nature of Polar's outdoor series with the advanced performance features of its high-end sports range. It’s kitted out with Elixir™ Biosensing Technologies to track all the vitals and logs you need, plus turn-by-turn GPS on a full-colour map and training load monitoring for over 150 sports profiles.
Add to that an AMOLED display, 7-day battery life, and coaching tools you don’t need a master’s degree to figure out. Suffice to say, this watch deserved a film as bold and precise as the watch itself.
The Process
We started by unpacking the watch’s versatility. Who’s it for? Anyone wanting a no-fuss transition from a morning track run to an afternoon mountain bike session—plus everything in between. Our storyboard, in turn, had to reflect that spirit of constant motion and limitless possibility.
The watch’s sleekness and performance lent themselves to a highly stylised concept, complete with cinematic sequences that highlighted its sophisticated design. We began with sketches, rough animations, and references to show how the Vantage M3 could fluidly “travel” between different sporting environments, capturing that sense of unstoppable forward momentum.
Using cutting-edge rendering tools, we refined each frame until the final piece embodied the same elegance and endurance that define the product. And let’s be honest—if you’re going to feature a watch this good-looking, you’d better make sure your visuals can match the hype.
The Result
The end product? A dynamic film that captured the Vantage M3 in all its adaptability, grace, and power. Polar was beyond happy with the outcome, and the excitement in their feedback made the long hours and intricate rendering feel absolutely worth it.
Now launched across various social channels, the film is already captivating fans who want a glimpse of this multi-sport marvel in action. And for us at FOR®, it’s yet another reminder that combining creative brilliance with pure functionality can spark real magic.
